Too much light?

You know what I wonder?

What I think this world needs?

Is maybe a rest?

From all the bright light,

That the spotlight thinks best.

I know there’s much talk

on all the love the light brings,

But our roots, they need dark

Or else come the spring,

No branches will grow

For the birds to roost and sing.

Bright love is great

But won’t last long

If the heart has been burnt

Instead of grown strong.

I’ll walk through the fire

Maybe pass or fail all the tests.

But then sometimes things

need to settle without mess,

Then there may be a chance

 For the truth to manifest.
